Job Purpose
The incumbent will ensure the timely availability and production of meals of the highest quality through effective supervision of the catering team
Responsibilities
· Ensure that all the food prepared in the cafeteria is of the highest standard and service
· Ensure that all special requests from patients have been served accordingly, for optimum customer satisfaction.
· Cooking and preparing high-quality meals.
· Ensuring food quality and excellent standards are maintained for all meals prepared
· Ensure sound and safe maintenance of cafeteria machines and equipment for preventative maintenance.
· Assisting in determining food inventory needs, stocking, and ordering
· Responsible for health, hygiene, and safety in the cafeteria
· Promoter of food hygiene practices in the cafeteria
· Performing any other duties as assigned by your immediate supervisor
Qualifications
- “A” / “O” Level Education
- Diploma in Food production
- 2 years’ experience in a busy restaurant.
- Knowledge and experience in ala carte set up.
- Training in firefighting, first-aid and lifesaving drills.
- General good health with a good level of physical fitnessen communication skills
