Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic intern to join our team at Savana Seeds Company. As an Agribusiness Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting various aspects of our operations, including assisting in social digital platforms, prospecting for customers, follow-up of customer debts, assisting in soil analysis, and contributing to market and sample development within the Nairobi area. This is an excellent opportunity for a fresh graduate in a diploma / degree program related to agribusiness or agriculture to gain practical experience in the industry.
Responsibilities:
1. Assisting in social digital platforms :
· Assist in managing and maintaining the company’s social media accounts.
· Creating engaging content to promote our products and services.
· Interacting with customers and responding to inquiries.
2. Prospecting for customers:
· Conducting market research to identify potential customers.
· Assisting in building and maintaining a customer database.
3. Follow-up of customers debts within the Nairobi region:
· Monitoring customer accounts and ensuring timely payment.
· Assisting in debt collection efforts.
4. Assist in soil analysis:
· Assisting in conducting soil tests and analyzing the results.
5. Assist in market and sample development within the Nairobi area:
· Assisting in the development and testing of new seed varieties.
· Participating in product demonstrations and exhibitions.
Qualifications:
- A fresh graduate with a diploma or degree in Agribusiness, Agriculture, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Familiarity with social media platforms, communication and digital marketing.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
- A passion for agriculture and a desire to learn and grow in the industry.
