Job description

The Operations and Customer Service Associate will be a critical member of our small team. They will work with another associate to manage incoming orders as well as customer inquiries. They will be expected to operate highly independently, creatively solve problems, and build relationships with both our suppliers and customers. If successful there will be lots of opportunities to move up in the company over time and take on additional responsibilities. This role is also an opportunity to shape the way the customer service and operations departments at the company are built.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Responding to prospective customer inquiries through our website, Facebook, Whatsapp, and our company phone number.
  • Reviewing incoming orders and calling customers to confirm order information.
  • Sending order information to vendors and coordinating the shipment of products.
  • Managing customer issues and concerns and coordinating their resolution.
  • Other tasks as needed and as the company evolves.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Skills with all Google applications, including slides, sheets, and docs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to build relationships easily.
  • Creative problem solving skills and a willingness to not only do the assigned tasks, but also think about ways to make them better and more efficient.
  • Flexibility and a willingness to adjust as we learn and grow in our early days.
  • Ambition and a willingness to work hard at an exciting new company.
