Job Summary
The Brand Assistant will work with the Brand Officer to maintain brand integrity across all company communications and marketing initiatives. The Brand Assistant will act as a driving force in the creation and delivery of the brand profile and corresponding materials, work across departments to support teams with their communication and branding needs.
To manage overall look and feel of the Sacco and proactively seek other partnerships and initiatives to boost Stima DT Sacco’s brand profile.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
a) Contributing to the development and implementation of the brand guidelines as well attainment of a seamless look and feel of the organization.
b) Coordinating with the Marketing, Sales, Research, and Customer Experience departments in developing product specific content.
c) Synchronizing with the Research function to carry out market related surveys that aim at improving the positioning of products and services as well as the brand.
d) Reviewing all products & services information, including print & online, and ensuring that they are relevant and up to date.
e) Providing content and assisting in creating and developing new innovative ways to communicate the company message to existing & potential customers.
f) Preparing, planning and project manage publication of all materials relating to products & services to maximize brand promotion.
g) Utilizing social media marketing tools to complement other relevant functions to track and establish a strong, responsive, and dynamic social media presence.
h) Reviewing competitor analysis to ensure that the Sacco is branded in a correct and consistent manner.
i) Developing and implementing an internal Communications programme including establishing a Communications & Brand champion model for all products and services on offer.
j) Promoting individual products & services and ensuring that their brands are well entrenched into both current and prospective clientele minds.
k) Standardizing Corporate give aways for all SBUs and ensuring that the budget is available and effectively monitored.
l) Planning, developing, and delivering Corporate Communications campaigns within timescales and work with the Corporate Communications team and the external PR agency to see the corporate campaigns executed.
m) Lead on internal communications initiatives including coordinating the bi- annual staff conference (CEOs Barazas) and support HR with building momentum for staff events.
n) Ensuring implementation of brand and culture audits, other internal communications audits, and research findings.
o) Create a spreadsheet of awards opportunities for each financial year and develop a strategy for those awards that the Sacco would benefit from entering.
p) Assisting with new product launches, as well as developing new branding opportunities for the Sacco.
q) Coordinating with other departments to introduce promotional offers for members.
r) Any other duty that will be assigned from time to time.

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS
Academic Qualifications
a) A minimum of a bachelor’s or equivalent degree in communications, journalism, public/media relations, or a related field.
b) Relevant Diploma/Higher Diploma.
Experience
A minimum of (2) years’ experience for degree holders and Six (6) years relevant experience for Diploma/Higher Diploma holders work experience, out of which 3 years are in Brand Management with a track record of success.
Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes
a) Must demonstrate excellent background in brand & reputation management.
b) Must have broad awareness and deep understanding of the global Brand Management landscape and current and developing strategies for consistency deploying the brand assets across the business.
c) Must demonstrate strong writing, editing, and proofreading & copy writing skills.
d) Must demonstrate experience in developing content for a variety of materials for the different Sacco Brands.
e) Must demonstrate the ability to research, write, fact-check, and edit a variety of branded communication pieces for target audiences for creation of brand love.
f) Must demonstrate the ability to meet tight deadlines, handle simultaneous assignments, and work within a team setting across varied time zones.
g) An understanding of trends and an ability to respond to customers’ wishes.
h) Creativity and an ability to produce innovative and original ideas.
i) Must be fluent in Kiswahili and English.
