Position: Senior IT Security Administrator

Reports to: Regional Infrastructure and Security Manager

Based at: Nairobi

Job purpose:

  • Plan and implement security protocols to maintain the integrity of the organization’s networks, data, and IT Infrastructure.
  • To provide advanced-level maintenance and support of network and security-related systems, configure and support security tools to monitor Smart’s network.
  • To conduct routine Network and security monitoring and configuration in compliance with security policies and operating procedures as well as execution of disaster recovery procedures.
  • To provide technical assistance to end users and all staff members.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  1. Ensures endpoint solutions are updated for all devices.
  2. Perform security reviews of endpoint devices and report any deviations from policies.
  3. Conduct a technology risk assessment for the technology environment, and report all inherent technology risks associated.
  4. Conduct cyber security awareness and training for users.
  5. Responsible for systems security and execution of Disaster Recovery procedures.
  6. Conduct regular patch management procedures to ensure that Smart systems and software are updated 100% with the latest software update and that all endpoint devices are running up-to-date anti-malware signatures.
  7. Carry out in timely manner activities stipulated in the ISMS program.
  8. Undertake additional duties as required by the Regional Infrastructure and Security Manager.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in IT or Computer related studies
  2. At least one relevant network professional certification
  3. CISA/CISM/CISSP or any other relevant Security certification
  4. 3 years of working experience with firewalls, Endpoint solutions, SIEMs, DLPs, PAM, and other security products is a Must.
  5. ITIL certification is an added advantage.
  6. Previous experience with ISO security standards will be a definite advantage
  7. Strong attention to detail
