Position: Senior IT Security Administrator
Reports to: Regional Infrastructure and Security Manager
Based at: Nairobi
Job purpose:
- Plan and implement security protocols to maintain the integrity of the organization’s networks, data, and IT Infrastructure.
- To provide advanced-level maintenance and support of network and security-related systems, configure and support security tools to monitor Smart’s network.
- To conduct routine Network and security monitoring and configuration in compliance with security policies and operating procedures as well as execution of disaster recovery procedures.
- To provide technical assistance to end users and all staff members.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Ensures endpoint solutions are updated for all devices.
- Perform security reviews of endpoint devices and report any deviations from policies.
- Conduct a technology risk assessment for the technology environment, and report all inherent technology risks associated.
- Conduct cyber security awareness and training for users.
- Responsible for systems security and execution of Disaster Recovery procedures.
- Conduct regular patch management procedures to ensure that Smart systems and software are updated 100% with the latest software update and that all endpoint devices are running up-to-date anti-malware signatures.
- Carry out in timely manner activities stipulated in the ISMS program.
- Undertake additional duties as required by the Regional Infrastructure and Security Manager.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in IT or Computer related studies
- At least one relevant network professional certification
- CISA/CISM/CISSP or any other relevant Security certification
- 3 years of working experience with firewalls, Endpoint solutions, SIEMs, DLPs, PAM, and other security products is a Must.
- ITIL certification is an added advantage.
- Previous experience with ISO security standards will be a definite advantage
