Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Executive to join our clients team at a Maize Millers company. The Sales Executive will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies to achieve company targets, building and maintaining customer relationships, and contributing to the overall growth and success of the business. The ideal candidate should have a strong sales background, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of the agricultural industry, specifically in maize milling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute effective sales strategies to meet or exceed assigned sales targets.
- Identify and target potential customers within the maize milling industry, including wholesalers, retailers, and distributors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Conduct market research to identify new opportunities, trends, and competitor activities.
- Present and promote company products and services to potential and existing customers.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with customers to maximize sales and profitability.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement promotional activities and campaigns.
- Prepare sales reports and forecasts, including sales pipelines, market trends, and customer feedback.
- Monitor industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify areas for business growth.
- Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to expand the company’s reach and enhance brand awareness.
- Provide feedback and input to the management team regarding market conditions, customer preferences, and product enhancements.
- Stay updated on product knowledge, industry regulations, and market developments related to maize milling.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Sales Executive or in a similar sales role within the agricultural industry, preferably in maize milling.
- Strong sales and negotiation skills with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain customer relationships.
- Ability to understand customer needs and provide appropriate solutions.
- Knowledge of maize milling processes, products, and the agricultural industry.
- Familiarity with market trends, competitor activities, and industry regulations.
- Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset and the ability to work independently.
- Proficient in using CRM software and other sales tools.
- Willingness to travel as required to meet with customers and attend industry events.
