Reporting to the Accountant, the job holder will be responsible for providing support to the Accounting Department by maintaining accounting documents, processing payments and preparation of audit file schedules by:
- Handling communication with clients and vendors via phone, email, and in-person;
- Recording and processing transactions;
- Assisting in filing financial reports and documents;
- Assisting with audits, fact checks, and resolving discrepancies;
- Receiving and maintaining accounting documents, updating imprest and assets registers;
- Preparing preliminary monthly and quarterly expenditure analysis and budgetary draft reports and various other reports and returns as required.
- Assisting in the implementation of internal controls and examine the payment process for accuracy;
- Collecting and delivering all departmental correspondence both internally and externally; and
- Developing individual work plans, monitoring own performance and seeking requisite support to ensure delivery of agreed targets.
Academic and Professional Qualifications
- CPA Part 3
Knowledge Skills and Competencies
- Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results;
- Be detail oriented, have ability to meet deadlines, while delivering on high quality results;
- Proficiency in computer applications; and
- Meet the provisions of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.
Terms of Service
- The appointment will be on temporary terms of service for a period of one (1) year
