Your New Role
Survitec are on the search for a Cyber Security Architect required to support the business, working with key stakeholders and our Managed Security Services Partner (MSSP).
Reporting into Survitec’s Head of Security, you will work closely with the IT Infrastructure team, Enterprise Architecture, Data Management & the Business Applications function as well as third parties to ensure that cyber security controls are embedded and considered throughout the delivery lifecycle. It will also play a key role in ensuring that we identify, assess and report on the key IT & Cyber risks that are pertinent to our Lines of Business.
What You Can Expect from the Role
Key Responsibilities and accountabilities:
· Provide Cyber Security input on architectural designs, patterns and guidance for new products and applications delivered across all Survitec Lines of Business and Group led initiatives.
· Provide guidance and direction to internal colleagues and external suppliers to ensure solutions can be delivered with the lowest friction whilst maintaining compliance with Survitec policies & standards.
· Incorporates new technologies/products into the Cyber security framework to ensure appropriate solutions are deployed to address the evolving threat landscape.
· Supports development of, and the continuous improvement of the Survitec Cyber Security strategy and architectural framework to keep aligned with the ever-changing technology and threat landscape.
· Provides operational metrics and management information reporting to demonstrate effective delivery and a view of our Cyber security risk posture.
· Defines, assesses, and provides guidance on the controls necessary to protect networks, hardware, systems (inc. cloud hosted environments), & endpoint devices in accordance with Cyber security standards.
· Identifies & communicates cyber security risks relating to new products & technologies working across each line of busines to advise & guide on the capabilities required to protect the organisation.
· Enables the business product teams to achieve their objectives without compromising Cyber security
· Assists in the design, implementation and operation of business processes and services (where cyber security is a consideration)
· Develops an approach for application, projects and 3rd party security risk assessments.
· Provides technical advice & best practice guidance across multiple technologies including; cloud solutions, data services, infrastructure & endpoints, mobile applications, network devices and others.
· Supporting IT colleagues and the wider business with the adoption of information and cyber security policies, procedures, and standards across multiple security domains
· Works closely with lines of business that have specific Cyber security accreditation requirements both in the UK and overseas e.g. ISO27001, NIST, CMMC, CyberEssentials

The Experience, Qualifications and Skills You Will Have
Essential Criteria
· Proven experience within a similar Cyber Security Architecture role
· In-depth knowledge and experience of Cyber Security Architecture & Delivery and has a drive to use data, metrics and analysis to support recommendations for improving our cyber security maturity.
· Has operated within fast paced global/digital environments and is comfortable in dealing with challenging stakeholders with varied requirements
· Demonstrable experience assessing security controls and compliance to policy, based on standards such as ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials+, NIST CSF, CMMC, PCI DSS and CIS
· Passion for maintaining technology awareness across a wide spectrum; networks, security technologies, cloud, infrastructure & ERP platforms etc.
· Experience in Windows security engineering and system hardening
· Experience with secure configuration and analysis of cloud services (Azure, Office365)
· Experience with IAM (Identity and Access Management) solutions such as AD, ADFS, MFA, SSO and Azure AD Connect
· Experience analysing and responding to alerts from security monitoring solutions, such as Nessus, ATP (Advanced Threat Protection) Defender, and DLP toolsets.
· Proven experience of working collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, to manage operational and third-party risk
· Industry certifications such as CISSP, ISO 27001 LA, CCP, ITIL, CISA, CRISC or similar are also highly advantageous
· Excellent knowledge of infrastructure/cloud security; server, network & end-user devices
· Extensive experience with the Microsoft stack
· End to end threat & vulnerability management
· Experienced with threat hunting and problem solving via the application of log data and identifying patterns/trends
· MDM (Mobile Device Management) – MS Intune
· Experience with IPS, Anti-Virus and Patch Management solutions
· SIEM and SOC experience desirable
