SPORTS EDITOR (WRITER)
POSITIONS: 1
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Produces day-to-day web content, including brief stories and news articles on local and international most followed sports events
- Creates interesting social media posts and website content
- Conducts research on assigned topics/subjects in your area off expertise
- Follows trends and hot topics in sports of interest to our target audience.
- Reviewing existing content and suggesting improvements or adjustments
- Ensuring strict adherence to the firm’s content guidelines
CURRENT AFFAIRS AND POLITICS EDITORS (WRITERS)
POSITIONS: 2
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Produces day-to-day web content, including brief stories and news articles on politics and/or current affairs
- Creates interesting social media posts and website content
- Conducts research on assigned topics/subjects
- Follows trends and hot topics of interest to our target audience.
- Reviewing existing content and suggesting improvements or adjustments
- Ensuring strict adherence to the firm’s content guidelines
HUMAN INTEREST EDITOR (WRITER)
POSITIONS: 1
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Produces day-to-day highly engaging human interest content for our Cape Media’s web platform
- Creates interesting human interest social media posts and website content
- Conducts research on your area of expertise so as to generate captivating content
- Follows human interest trends and hot topics of interest to our target audience.
- Reviewing existing content and suggesting improvements or adjustments
- Ensuring strict adherence to the firm’s content guidelines
ENTERTAINMENT EDITOR (WRITER)
POSITIONS: 1
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Produces day-to-day web content on local and global entertainment
- Creates interesting social media posts and website content around entertainment
- Conducts research on interesting entertainment content from around the continent and World
- Follow entertainment trends and hot topics of interest to our target audience.
- Reviewing existing content and suggesting improvements or adjustments
- Ensuring strict adherence to the firm’s content guidelines
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1+ experience working for a reputable online platform in similar capacity
- Portfolio of your best content (Muck Ruck portfolio)
- Excellent knowledge of all aspects of written English
- Solid knowledge of digital/online news gathering and use of content intelligence programs.
- Ability to upholds journalism ethics and standards
- Team player
- Ability to work under minimum supervision.
- Training in Journalism, Media or Communications
