Avenews has an exciting position available for a Field Officer (FO) who must be based in Nairobi.
What we require for the applicant to be successful:
- Manage multiple accounts for delinquency and debt collection
- Locate and contact debtors about outstanding obligations
- Manage client relationship ensuring payments are made on due date
- Must have experience in sales of loans; the ability to generate and manage leads
- Strong customer service and relationship abilities to keep the account active
- Report address changes and maintain files regarding debtors for correct and current contact information
- Ability to assist with implementation and deployment of services and solutions when and where required
- Candidate should be based in Nairobi
- Experience in debt recovery or in the digital lending space is an added advantage
Ideally the successful applicant will have the following skill set:

- Demonstrated skill in negotiating and resolving conflict
- Ability to speak persuasively and listen critically
- Prioritise multiple tasks to ensure successful completion of each debt collection attempt
- Presentation and communication skills

What the role will entail:
- Identifying new Agri SMEs that can be financed within your region
- Conduct client visits for debt collection and repayment follow up
- Create awareness of AGT financing products and solutions in the market where applicable
- Participate in marketing engagements within your region
- Provide support to agribusiness clients i.e. training, field assistance, demonstrations etc
- Maintain strong relationships with existing customers to ensure the user experience is positive
- Ensure superior customer service is offered at all times to all levels of clients
- Promptly identify and resolve problems directly impacting the client and escalate accordingly where required
- Achieve monthly/yearly KPI’s and liaise with the line manager to ensure a seamless service to our clients and end-users
- Timely reporting to line Manager, i.e. client engagements, leads, forecasting and travel etc.
In addition, their involvement and input may be required with:
- Internal country group crunch sessions on how to maximize revenue potential
- Penetration into new territories
- Providing support to other countries if/when required
