JOB PURPOSE
You will be responsible to prepare and serve drinks to customers. Be able to mix and match ingredients in order to create classic and innovative drinks in accordance with customers’ needs and expectations. Must be within Nairobi.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Craft cocktail menus and be able to prepare them.
2. Prepare and serve liquor, mixed drinks, beer and non-alcoholic drinks as required.
3. Ensures that fruit and other garnishes are prepared ahead of the opening of the bar.
4. Maintains the bar and keeps it clean and tidy.
5. Receive orders from clients.
6. Attractively displays glasses and liquor bottles.
7. Ensures clients are of legal age.
8. Submits orders and creates requisition forms for liquor, beer and other bar-related supplies.
9. Submits sales sheets of what was sold during the day on a daily basis.
10. Actively sources for clients to serve.
11. Any other additional duty from time to time.
12. Ensure all inventory and stock management systems are maintained accurately, within the agreed parameters and in a timely manner.
EDUCATION & SKILLS REQUIRED
1. Must have a minimum of 2 years as a bar tender.
2. Degree/diploma in bartending/mixology
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
4. Ability to accurately prepare daily reports
5. Focused and prioritization ability
6. Able to work in a fast paced environment and cope with pressure
7. Excellent written, oral and presentation skills
8. Available to start working immediately
