As a Nurse, you will:
- Maintaining accurate, complete health care records and reports.
- Prescribing assistive medical devices and related treatments.
- Recording patient vital signs and medical information.
- Conduct Normal Vaginal Deliveries and seek immediate assistance if challenged.
- Ordering medical diagnostic and clinical tests.
- Communicate with Physicians and Other Health workers regarding patient’s health on a need basis.
- Monitoring, reporting, and recording symptoms or changes in patient conditions.
- Administering non-intravenous medications.
- Assessing, implementing, planning, or evaluating patient nursing care plans by working with healthcare team members.
- Modifying patient health treatment plans as indicated by patient conditions and responses.
- Observe and interpret patient’s symptoms and communicate them to physicians. • Collaborate with physicians and nurses to devise individualized care plans for patients.
- Adjust and administer patient’s medication and provide treatments according to physician’s orders. • Inspect the facilities and act to maintain excellent hygiene and safety (decontaminating equipment, sanitizing surfaces, preparing beds, switching lights etc.)
- Provide instant medical care in emergencies and seek immediate assistance from other health workers.
- Assist surgeons during operations.
- Supervise and train New Nurses and nursing assistants.
- Foster a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients and their families.
- Respond to inquiries, concerns and complaints from patients and their parents or guardians
- Administer Vaccinations.
- Expand knowledge and capabilities by attending educational workshops, conferences etc.
- Track and maintain medical supply inventory along with other staff members
- Clean, Disinfect, and maintain medical equipment such as BP machines, Stethoscopes, Thermometers etc.
- Report immediately and follow up any issues concerning any equipment e.g. batteries, etc. to the maintenance personnel.
- Prepare patients for any procedures such as theater, ECG etc.
- Counsel patients and family members before, during and after treatment
