Internship – Sales Correspondence and Site Surveys
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Engineering Intern to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with sales correspondence and conducting site surveys. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to apply you relectrical engineering knowledge in a practical setting, gain hands-on experience, and contribute to our sales and project development processes. This position is ideal for individuals seeking to enhance their technical skills while developing an understanding of the sales and project management aspects of the electrical engineering field.
Responsibilities
Sales Correspondence:
- Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and develop technical proposals or quotations
- Assist in preparing sales materials, including technical specifications, brochures, and presentations
- Respond to customer inquiries or phone, providing technical information and resolving queries as needed
- Support the sales team in maintaining customer databases, tracking leads, and updating CRM systems
Site Surveys:
- Accompany experienced engineers on site visits to assess electrical systems and identify customer needs
- Assist in conducting surveys to evaluate the feasibility of electrical installations and upgrades
- Document and record relevant information during site visits, including measurements, photographs, and notes
- Collaborate with the engineering team to analyze survey data and contribute to the development of project proposals
Technical Support:
- Provide technical assistance to customers, addressing their questions or concerns
- Collaborate with the engineering team to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare detailed reports, including site survey findings, equipment recommendations, and cost estimates
- Assist in generating project documentation, such as project plans, diagrams, and specifications
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, survey results, and project-related information
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Strong technical knowledge and understanding of electrical systems circuits and components
- Proficiency in using electrical engineering software tools (e.g. AutoCAD, MATLAB, or similar)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively correspond with customers and internal teams
- Prior experience or coursework related to sales, customer service, or project management is a plus
- Familiarity with CRM systems and proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
