Role Overview
The Data Analyst will play a key role in overseeing FFA’s portfolio data and systems, as well as generating reports for FFA’s external and internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess around 2-3 years of relevant experience in data analysis and reporting, along with a foundational understanding of venture capital and/or private equity in emerging markets. The Portfolio Data Analyst will be responsible for analysing portfolio data and turning it into useful information that FFA can use for critical decision-making.
Responsibilities
Data analysis & reporting
– Aggregating, cleaning, analysing, interpreting, and displaying portfolio data using different approaches and portfolio management tool
– Uncovering key insights that lead to better informed and successful decision-making
– Maintaining and updating templates of reporting processes and systems, and the central data repository
– Improve and maintain data architecture of data collection, analysis, and reporting into FFA’s portfolio management tool and shareholder reports
– Support FFA portfolio companies data analytics to make smarter business choices to attain improved products and services
– Provide lead support to the Head of Portfolio in driving timely completion of quarterly and annual reports; and quarterly & monthly portfolio reviews
Research
– Conducting targeted market research to inform the Network’s strategic objectives
– You will investigate market circumstances and competitors’ landscape in order to assess our portfolio companies’ products and services positioning and improve pricing models
Portfolio function support
– As a core part of the FFA portfolio function, you’ll work closely with the Chief Portfolio Officer and Head of Portfolio to provide support in the execution of the function’s strategic objectives, such as founder circles, webinars, playbooks, and newsletters.

Required experience and skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business, Data Science / Analytics or related fields
- Professional training in data analytics is a huge plus.2 years of proven experience working in a data-oriented environment with an inclination to a start up or scale up environment, with a high proficiency in spreadsheets
- Excellent analytical, research, presentation and communication capabilities
- A self-starter who thrives in an autonomous role, with excellent prioritisation, self-organisation, and execution skills
