We are seeking ambitious and talented individuals to join our Graduate Trainee Program in Fin. As a Graduate Trainee, you will have the opportunity to undergo rotations in various departments, gaining valuable hands-on experience and exposure to different areas of our business. This program is designed to provide you with a comprehensive understanding of our company’s operations and develop a strong foundation for a successful career in the FinTech industry.
Responsibilities
- Participate in a structured rotational program, spending designated periods in different departments, such as human capital, credit operations, marketing, finance, business development, and IT.
- Work closely with assigned mentors and supervisors in each department to learn about their functions, objectives, and day-to-day activities.
- Contribute to ongoing projects and initiatives within each department, gaining practical experience and exposure to diverse tasks and challenges.
- Proactively seek opportunities to learn from experienced professionals within the company, asking questions and seeking guidance to deepen your understanding.
- Assist teams in different departments with project-related tasks, including research, data analysis, documentation, and presentation preparation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to contribute fresh perspectives and insights to ongoing projects and initiatives.
- Actively participate in brainstorming sessions and provide input to drive innovation and process improvement.
- Support day-to-day operations within each department, including administrative tasks, data entry, and coordination of team activities.
- Gain exposure to department-specific tools, software, and systems, becoming proficient in their use.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and contribute to achieving departmental goals.
- Maintain regular communication with mentors and supervisors to discuss progress, challenges, and learning objectives.
- Provide feedback on the program structure, training effectiveness, and overall experience to contribute to its continuous improvement.
- Prepare periodic reports and presentations summarizing your experiences, accomplishments, and lessons learned during the rotational program.
Qualifications, Experience, Skills and Attributes
- Must have graduated within the last two years or be in their final semester of studies.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Finance, Business Administration, Economics,
- Computer Science, or a related discipline with minimum second class upper or equivalent.
- Kenyan Applicants must have: Minimum B in KCSE with B in English and Maths.
- Strong academic record and a passion for the FinTech industry.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and apply logical reasoning.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- High level of adaptability and willingness to learn and embrace new challenges.
- Demonstrated leadership potential and a proactive approach to taking initiative.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
- Flexibility to work across different departments and adapt to changing work environments.
