Overall Responsibility:
As a member of the Maintenance team, you will report to the Crane and Rigging Supervisor, and you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of assigned equipment.
The main duties will include but are not limited to:
- Carrying out accurate rigging studies
- Updating the supervisors and all relevant stakeholders on the availability status of equipment
- Raising work orders in the system for corrective measures
- Ensuring all rigging activities are completed in a safe and efficient manner
- Maintaining a proper and updated register ofthe rigging tools
- Attending to all maintenance requests professionally and promptly
- Ensuring set safe machine operating procedures, legislation, and policies are followed
- Setting up both 60T, 22T mobile and vehicle loading cranes and ensuring they are operated as per the
manufacturer’s specifications
- To succeed you will require:
- A minimum of a Government Trade Test 1 Certificate in any Engineering discipline (Preferably Mechanical)
- A minimum of 5 years experience operating a 60T crane operation
- A valid Kenyan driving license class BCE with Special endorsement for mobile cranes
- Working knowledge of 22T Crane, HIAB, rigging, and telehandler are an added advantage
- A good understanding of workplace Safety, Health, and Environmental procedures
- A demonstrable ability to work in a challenging environment with a multinational workforce
- A “Can Do” attitude
