The purpose of this job is to ensure the satisfaction of our customers in the most effective and efficient way, and oversee fleet and dispatch operations.
Reporting to: Head of Logistics and Procurement
Duties & Responsibility
- Ensure 100% Fleet Compliance to statutory requirements and related company rules and regulations
- Schedules repairs or preventative maintenance while ensuring that maximum number of fleets are on the road at all times across all HDL locations
- Perform vehicle registration, insurance booking, inspection booking and documentation regarding induction of new vehicles in existing fleet transfers and new fleet registration through TIMS on NTSA
- Maintain and monitor data management system to organize fleets as per schedules and requests
- Control purchasing parameters of the fuel cards and monitor transactions to easily identify and prevent fuel anomalies
- Analyze fuel consumption per vehicle and advice the management on cost effective vehicle models
- Provide accurate routing information to ensure that delivery times and locations are coordinated effectively and efficiently
- Liaising with outsourced transporters on timely order collections, deliveries and reverse logistics on raw material
- Coordinate order consolidations and ensure all PODs are received, reconciled and filed
- Coordinate dispatch activities across all HDL locations and manage P&L pertaining Fleet
- Team Management: Supervise and manage performance of the team through continuous assessment of the set and aligned KPIs
Work Location & Requirements
Based in Nyeri. Work flexibility is encouraged including working on Saturdays when required.
Professional Experience
- Minimum three (3) years relevant experience from a fast pace FMCG industry in which one (1) year must be in supervisory role
- Mechanical knowledge is added advantage
- Excellent communication, customer service management and data analytical skills
- Computer literate with a working knowledge of an ERP, advanced spread sheets and other MS office applications
Academic Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Purchasing and
- Supply Management or any related course.
