FFA is seeking a Research Associate (Intern) to support with the research of key trends within FFA’s geographical, sectoral, and business model focus areas to continue to inform our investment thesis.
Responsibilities
- Ability to deploy quantitative and qualitative research methodologies and extract/package key learnings and insights in a structured manner
- Ability to leverage tools and platforms in codifying and sharing learnings
- Collate all internal insights from investments, venture design, and portfolio to codify our learnings and inform the next steps
- Support in additional research throughout the venture design and investment process to refine PoV on various opportunities
- Extract and package learnings from the portfolio team to streamline forward-looking points of view on key sectors and business models
- Support in the continual refinement of the investment thesis
- Lead deep dives, industry analysis, and market mapping
- Conduct primary and secondary research on key trends, business models, sectors
- Provide insights on key policies and regulations affecting the areas we invest in and suggest mitigation approaches
- Developing slide decks, research factsheets, one-pager overviews, and other dissemination materials to share research findings internally with other teams in FFA
Candidate Profile
- At least 3 years prior experience in a management consulting, private equity, or investment banking role (Pre-MBA candidates welcome)
- An analytical mind able to qualify and understand different concepts and business models
- Ability to deploy quantitative and qualitative research methodologies
- Extensive knowledge, enthusiasm for, and interest in technology and start-ups
- A self-starter who thrives in an autonomous role, with excellent prioritisation, self-organisation, and execution skills
