SADEN Community Based Organization (SADEN CBO) is excited to announce the opening of applications for our Internship program which will start in July, 2023. This internship offers a unique opportunity for passionate individuals who wish to gain practical experience in the field of social or community development work while making a positive impact on the lives of less priviledgd individuals and communities. We are looking for dedicated interns who are eager to contribute their skills and knowledge to our organization’s mission.
Program Details:
Duration: 3 Months
Location: Soweto Kayole
Start Date: July 2023 to September 2023.
Salary: Interns are not given any salary for this program.
Internship Objectives:
Gain hands-on experience: Work closely with our experienced project team to gain practical experience in various aspects of social work, such as case management, community outreach, facilitation, counselling, advocacy, and program development.
Make a difference: Contribute to our organization’s efforts to empower and support individuals and communities facing social challenges, including but not limited to poverty, religious discrimination, domestic violence, mental health, and substance abuse.
Professional development: Receive guidance and mentorship from our team of professionals, enhancing your skills in areas such as communication, problem-solving, cultural sensitivity, and ethical decision-making.
Networking opportunities: Connect with professionals and organizations in the social work field, expanding your professional network and learning about potential career paths and opportunities.
Requirements:
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Social science or a related field. Recent graduates may also be considered.
Passionate about social justice and committed to making a positive impact on individuals and communities.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team as well as independently.
Empathy, compassion, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
Proficient in browsing, data entry, graphic design, file management, email and communication
