A logistics officer is responsible for overseeing and managing the various aspects of logistics and supply chain operations within an organization. Their primary role is to ensure the efficient and timely movement of goods, materials, and resources from one point to another, while optimizing costs and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. Other roles include:-

  1. Apply IMP &IDF, RQ Cheques from finance, and hand over full set to RA.
  2. Daily report of IMP & IDF.
  3. Weekly Shipment schedule update and circulate
  4. Follow up suppliers and Shipments
  5. Consolidation and container bookings
  6. PVOC application with KEBS
  7. Requisite advance payments for agents and send TT Copies and reference.
  8. Follow up clearing agents on clearance of goods and loading of containers
  9. Pre Arrival packing lists to be circulated 1 week prior to the warehouse
  10. Open Container
  11. Update payments schedules and send TT Copies
  12. Follow up invoices with agents, file the copies and handover for costing

Qualifications

  • Minimum qualification-Diploma in Supply Chain Management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Added Advantage: SAP knowledge
  • Member of Professional Body- KISM
