Job Description:
The Program Intern will work closely with the Program Manager and other team members to assist in the implementation of various programs, including but not limited to education, healthcare, and community development. The successful candidate will gain practical experience in program management, monitoring and evaluation, fundraising, and project reporting.
Responsibilities:
· Assist in the implementation of various programs and initiatives, including planning and organizing program activities, coordinating logistics, and ensuring that program goals are met.
· Conduct research and data analysis to support program planning and decision-making.
· Assist in monitoring and evaluating program progress, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.
· Support fundraising efforts by researching potential donors, drafting proposals, and preparing presentations.
· Participate in team meetings and contribute to program strategy development.
· Provide administrative support to the Program Manager as needed.
· Any other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
Requirements:
We are seeking candidates who are currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as international development, public health, community development or social sciences.
· Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
· Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
· Knowledge of and interest in international development and/or nonprofit organizations.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
· Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Swahili is an asset.
Duration: 3-6 months, with the potential for extension based on performance.
