Overview

Our Client in the Solar and renewable energy industry based in Westlands, Nairobi is recruiting for an Accountantin order to in-house its bookkeeping and finance operations. The accountant will be responsible for all book keeping, invoicing, payment processing.

Overview of the Role: 

The accountant will report to the Chief Financial Officer.

Primary Responsibilities:

• All book keeping for the company and its entities.
• Bank Reconciliations
• Processing payments
• Issuing invoices
• Receivables Management
• Preparing Monthly Management Accounts
• Support annual audit
• Tax filings for the company 

Key Qualifications:

• 1-3 years’ work experience in bookkeeping or as a finance team member
• Excellent understanding of double entry
• CPA (K) or similar qualification (obtained / in process)
• Self-starter eager to learn in a fast-paced environment
• Detail-oriented, organized and takes initiative
• All-in attitude towards one’s team that combines a fun sense of humor with seriousness and pride in one’s work

Compensation:

Competitive and commensurate with experience.

The position will be based in Nairobi, Kenya. Start date 1 Jun 2023 or as soon as possible in Jun.
