Role Overview
As a Senior Android Engineer at Kapu, you will be a key player in our goal to revolutionize the way people shop for their everyday grocery basket. We’re all about creating a seamless and enjoyable shopping experience for our customers, and your expertise with Android will be vital to achieving that. We’re talking sleek interfaces, lightning-fast performance, and rave reviews in the Play Store.

Initially, there will be (5) core objectives:
- Take the lead in developing new features and enhancements for the Kapu app, from brainstorming ideas to delivering polished code.
- Use gamification to create fun experiences for our users that help them save and earn more.
- Optimize everything that affects our user experience, from download sizes and startup times to working offline.
- Ensure that our codebase is a joy to work with, incorporating modern tools and libraries and reducing tech debt.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any bugs or issues that may arise, because hey, even the best apps need a little TLC sometimes.
Success looks like:
- Usage of our App is growing X% week-on-week
- 99% of our user sessions are crash-free
- Our app has a 4+ rating in the Play store
