We are excited to offer an 18-month internship opportunity for a Chief of Staff reporting to the CEO and an integral member of the Executive Committee. The role holder will be a partner to the leaders of the organization, helping them oversee operations, implement strategies, and make decisions. The successful candidate will also communicate with employees at all levels, such as project managers and executive assistants, and manage the executives’ schedule, meetings, and travel. As a communication liaison, a right-hand advisor, a sounding board, and a gatekeeper to the executive, the chief of staff will play a crucial role in the organization’s success.
We are looking tor a dynamic, self-driven individual with prior experience in the global consulting world and working knowledge of the VUCA environment in emerging markets. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. The candidate must also be able to manage competing priorities and work well under pressure.
Responsibilities
- Serve as liaison with staff, executives, senior leaders, and CEO regarding company climate, employee well-being, project updates, proposals, and planning.
- Assist the human resources department with new senior level hires, including documentation and onboarding, and collaborate to address and resolve all employee concerns.
- Oversee daily operations in collaboration with senior managers and department leaders, and perform administrative tasks such as managing calendars, generating correspondence, maintaining hard copies and electronic files, planning and coordinating annual corporate meetings, and scheduling facilities.
- Develop and build on relationships with all employees for increased efficiency and responsiveness of existing operations and help define new operational strategies by working with CEO and other executives on special projects.
- Serve as a subject-matter expert, handling inquiries, developing action plans, and assisting with preparation and dissemination of communications.
Skills and Qualifications
- Five or more years of experience in a business management role
- Experience in organizing and directing multiple teams and departments
- Experience in planning and leading strategic initiatives
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Versatile abilities and extreme dedication to efficient productivity
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in business administration or similar field
- Experience in data analysis and budget management
- Consulting experience, with a focus on operations management
- Proven success in a project coordination role
- Nimble business mind, focused on developing creative solutions
- Strong project-reporting skills, with focus on interdepartmental communications
