Title: Contract Grantwriter
Status: Part-time Contractor (20-40 hours a month)

JOB SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Director of Global Partnerships Operations, and working closely with the Senior Grants Manager, the contract Grantwriter will provide services including writing and editing development pieces for donors and prospects, such as: grant proposals, grant reports, and organizational and project descriptions, as needed.
The position holder must be highly competent in working collaboratively across time zones and geographies and with people of diverse nationalities, identities, and cultures. While this role is remote, there must be overlap in working hours with Pacific and Eastern time zones.
This position will join our current pool of contract grantwriters and will be assigned work on an as needed basis. We are estimating 20-40 hours of work per month.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Required
- Must have a commitment to and possess knowledge of international gender justice issues and movement led approaches.
- Strong knowledge of grant writing, fundraising, donor engagement, and/or education.
- Excellent written communication skills and the ability to work well with diverse groups of individuals.
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, problem solve, and have excellent follow through.
- Committed to the values of diversity, open communication, and inclusiveness.
EXPERIENCE:·
- 4+ years grant writing an/or grants management experience with an emphasis on institutional fundraising with some combination of experience with private foundations, corporations, individual donors, and multi-lateral funders. Past experience as a contract grant writer highly preferred.
- Experience and demonstrated success writing sophisticated grant proposals and reports, particularly with institutions. Specifically, we seek experience writing for private foundations and/or government and multilateral entities.
- Experience in programmatic areas in the field is preferred, ideally in international human rights issues and/or women’s rights.
