Our client is a company in Nairobi recruiting for a Store Assistant who will be charge of updating stock levels in the inventory system, knows the importance of inventory control and makes sure handling and storage meet company standards.

Responsibilities

Daily Issuance of Job numbers in QuickBooks and updating on Sales Force.
Issuance and receipt of plates, chemicals, consumables, spare parts and stationeries in the store.
Realtime maintenance of stock records for full sheets, offcuts, chemicals, consumables, spare parts and stationeries in QuickBooks and ensure offcuts physical tally with QuickBooks and One Drive template.
Conduct regular and periodic stock take.
Update the offcuts variance report on One Drive monthly and track any variances.
Ensure good storage for all stocks, implementing the FIFO method.
Conduct monthly and or periodic stocks reconciliations with the Stock Accountant to ensure physical and system match at all times.
Receive and inspect with the user all good/s & service/s being delivered to the company and ensure they meet the requisition specifications.
Ensure cleanliness and proper arrangement of the store.
Implement safety rules in the store.
Ensure well labelling of both stores.
Perform any other duty that may be delegated by the immediate supervisor or any other authorized officer.

Qualifications

Diploma/Degree in Accounting/ Supplies Management / Procurement Strong Negotiation skills and analytical skills,
Good communication skills
Extremely organized in a manner that is easily read by others
Competent IT skills and Quickbooks
High level of accuracy
Ability to work as part of a team and take direction accurately
Analytical thinker and problem solver
Administrative skills
