Job purpose:
The primary responsibility of this role is to provide overall support in the design, launch and execution of the freelancing program. You will ensure that; project objectives/implementation is on track, implementation and documentation is updated according to donors, partners and other stakeholders’ compliance requirements, and assist in program development and creation of a continuous pipeline of freelancing jobs.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL YOU’LL NEED:
Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience
- A degree in social sciences, business or a relevant field will be an added advantage.
- You have a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience working engaging, organizing and managing programs/projects.
- Embody values and understand the future challenges and opportunities for youth empowerment and is passionate about creating an impact in Kenya’s employment ecosystem.
- Experience in youth online work development is desirable.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft programs (Excel, PowerPoint, MS project, etc.).
Skills And Abilities
- Excellent oral/presentation skills.
- Excellent written skills in English, especially report writing.
- Strong teamwork orientation, with an ability to lead and work effectively with a range of partners and colleagues.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate to people of all walks of life.
- Strategic and innovative with the ability to sell the vision of Generation.
- Ability to explain complex ideas in an easily accessible way tailored to different audiences.
- Strong planning skills.
Other requirements
- Ability to travel frequently within Kenya and different counties.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Aggregator, Platforms and Super-agent Relationships
- Identify placement opportunities by identifying new potential aggregators, platforms and super agents.
- Build placement pipeline and ensure >90% placement of the freelancers.
- Managing super-agent relations and aggregators; Building trust and long-term relationships with super agents and aggregators by providing support, information, and guidance.
- Arranging meetings and one-on-one conversations with prospective aggregators.
- Create and maintain a strong network of connections in the freelancing community to leverage our services.
- Schedule routine individual super-agent and/or aggregator feedback to ensure Generation understands issues, challenges, concerns as well as success stories of freelance graduates.
