ROLE SUMMARY
The People Operations and Development internship is an exciting opportunity for those who want to learn about the end to end employee life cycle, which includes recruiting, onboarding/offboarding and employee engagement. S/he will assist with carrying out the day-to-day activities of the people operations and development team in the context of the impact investment and development consulting space. Success in this role will be demonstrated by delivering high-quality and timely assistance under minimal supervision, helping the people division meet daily objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Draft job descriptions for new roles
- Screen resumes and application forms
- Schedule interviews and assignments with candidates
- Shadow the HR associate during first round interviews
- Prepare the onboarding checklist for new hires
- Schedule onboarding meetings and training for new hires
- Add and maintain employee user accounts in our internal systems
- Ensure employee information and required documents are complete and up to date
- Plan employee engagement activities through the company’s bi-weekly retros
- Assist with ad hoc tasks as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, human resources, business administration, or relevant field
- Basic knowledge of labor legislation
- Effective communication skills
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent administrative and organizational skills
- High degree of emotional intelligence
- Detail oriented
Location and Travel Opportunities:
