Job Purpose
As a Team Leader, you will be a key contact person and the link between the end-user and the organization You will be working closely with the Regional Manager and Nazava’s Safe Water Experts/ Independent Sales Representatives to ensure targets are met within a given Territory and in ensuring objectives are fully met in Sales metrics, aftercare & customer satisfaction, Agent Recruitment, Training & Supervision, agent performance, Product Knowledge, Marketing Activities & Products Distribution.
Key Activities and Responsibilities
a) Sales Performance Management
- Assist the Regional Manager to help drive, assess, measure, and enhance the performance sales targets in a given Territory.
- Ensure set targets are achieved monthly.
- Supporting the Regional Manager in building a passionate, outstanding, and robust direct sales team across the assigned territory.
- Onboarding of new partners after MOU sign-off, including mapping of potential areas to begin initial pilots.
- Identify and analyze areas of revenue generation opportunities for Nazava products and/or services in support of business goals and monitor overall effectiveness throughout the sales process.
- Building and improving the culture of customer centricity & customer satisfaction: ensure all orders placed have been fully delivered and the customer’s filter is set up and ready for use. This can be done through partner follow-up or through the sales agents.
b) Field Operations Management
- Drive the Implementation of core operating processes including Commission agent recruitment and Aftercare, by ensuring that the field teams are trained and performing in accordance with it.
- Ensure sales reports are sent every Monday at 9 AM for bonus and commission pay. This report will be shared with the regional sales manager on a weekly basis.
- Recommend improvements in operating processes to business process management.
c) Recruitment, Training, Mentoring, Retaining and Development of Partners and Commission Agents
- Commission Agent recruitment, training & supervision: Recruit, train and supervise up to 40 agents within the assigned partners in designated areas/regions.
- Provide continuous training on product knowledge and the execution of the sales pitch to commission agents within the territory
- Lead in the execution of recommendations on training plans and programs to enhance knowledge and skills.
- Ensure that the Field Agents and partners have the necessary materials to meet their objectives
- Evaluate and monitor agent performance on a weekly basis and recommend improvement areas in terms of productivity achieved for the week. This report will be shared with the regional sales manager on a weekly basis.
d) People Management
- Frequently plan for field visits with the field agents to grow their traction and build cohesion amongst the Agents and partners.
- Effectively manage Commission Agents and partners to optimize performance in Field Operations objectives by setting individual targets, developing and motivating, coaching and mentoring, and providing formal and informal feedback and appraisal.
- Plan and preside over daily, weekly, and monthly team meetings.
- Hold team-building events.
e) Implementing Promotions and Marketing Initiatives
- Full execution, Communication and monitoring of any promotion in form of discounts to the partners.
- Promo Reports and reconciliation of feedback and traction should be done every week for reconciliation purposes and sent to the regional sales manager.
- Lead in execution and propose different marketing activities to be deployed at your assigned territory.
f) Budget Management
- Identify and justify the budget resources required to successfully implement a sales and field operations strategy at the Area level.
- Prudently manage the allocated sales budget to avoid budget underage and overage and manage reconciliations.
g) Cross-functional Relationships & Team Play
- Customer Care – Management of In-progress aftercare tickets, in close cooperation with the Customer Care team.
- Operations – To ensure a smooth flow of all deliveries done to the customers/Partners.
- Reporting – Regular reporting on activities & results
Qualifications
- A Diploma in Business Administration or Marketing or Equivalent
- 3+ years of progressive responsibility and track record of success in Territory sales and Commission Agents management.
- 2+ years of progressive and track record of success in recruitment, training/mentoring, and managing the performance of Direct Sales Agents
- Prior work experience in the PAYGO solar sector, WASH preferred.
