Job Title: Security Coordinator

Job Summary
- They are responsible for overseeing all aspects of their organization’s security operations, including
planning, training, equipment purchases, and more.
- The Head of Security will be responsible for the safety and security of our employees, customers, and visitors, and the protection of our assets and premises.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the Security Solutions to deliver exceptional value to our clients with a clear focus on service delivery and customer support.
- Monitor security guards, electronic surveillance equipment used on company premises.
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures programs and ensure implementation of the same.
- Work within the senior management team in development and achievement of security collective goals
- Ensure the safety of staff and all stakeholders within the workplace.
- Conducts thorough investigation on incidences and generate report on the same for resolution.
- Handle site security incidents, escalations, or any other security related issues.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities, threats, and risks.
- Develop and oversee security awareness and training initiatives.
- Develop and execute compliance processes in line with the client’s policies, standards, guidelines, and relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
- Gather of intelligence reports and act on them for the purposes of detection and prevention
- Prepare reports for senior management on security status and risks.
- Stay up to date on security trends and developments.
- Manage security staff, ensure proper onboarding of new security officers and performance evaluations.
- Provide leadership and direction for security team.
- Ensure compliance and certification of any security personnel as per required regulatory and legal guidelines.
- Oversee the development and implementation of security systems.
- Ensure there is proactive and sufficient response to emergencies at workplace.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure security needs are met.
- Liaise with law enforcement and other agencies as needed.
Education and experience.
- Graduate degree in security management, criminology, or Security training
- Thorough knowledge of security protocols, procedures, and systems
- Industry-specific certification (e.g., Certified Protection Professional)
- Investigations training
- Basic First aid and fire safety training.
- Proven experience as a security in charge or similar role.
- A minimum of six years in security operations with a minimum of two years in security tasking management.
- Experience in managing a contract guard force.
- Working knowledge of multiple security functions and security driven technology solutions with a proven track recorded in security management, planning and coordinating.
- A sound working knowledge of security best practice and legislation affecting the security role.
- Strong management and leadership skills together with excellent communication, influencing, negotiating and engagement skills.
- Proven knowledge in occupational Health Safety environment.
