We are looking to recruit an Intern responsible for supporting our managers and employees, assisting in daily office needs and managing our company’s general activities.
Responsibilities
• Providing day-to-day support for end user requests related to desktop software/hardware.
• Providing support for Executive Staff, having flexible hours to accommodate executive staff as needed
• Analyzing data to recommend improvements to existing systems or processes
• Setting up new computers, networks, and software for new employees
• Providing support to IT staff by answering phones, processing paperwork, and responding to user requests
• Collecting, analyzing, and storing data for use in reports
• Supporting the maintenance of existing computer systems, including troubleshooting problems with hardware and software
• Answer and direct phone calls
• Organize and schedule appointments
• Plan meetings and take detailed minutes
• Write and distribute email, correspondence memos, letters, etc.
• Update and maintain office procedures
• Order office supplies and research new deals and suppliers
• Liaise with Directors and senior managers to handle requests and queries from clients
Qualifications
• A diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in IT or any other related course
• 1+ years minimum working experience is desirable;
• Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel, MS Word and MS PowerPoint, in particular)
• Ability to identify, research, and resolve technical problems;
• Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers
• Flexible with change, work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment;
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include after hours and weekend support;
• Basic knowledge of software integration and installation;
• Present a professional demeanor and be comfortable working with people from all levels of the organization
• Self-motivated; work well independently and with a team;
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills;
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
• Attention to detail and problem solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
• Knowledge on systems will be an added advantage
