JOB DESCRIPTION OF RESEARCH OFFICER
- Checking for and fixing any broken links.
- Performing website/platform backup.
- Performing database backup.
- Updating plugins.
- Monitoring security breach attempts and fixing vulnerabilities.
- Checking for broken images and replacing as required.
- Remaining in contact with the web host and informing ICNL if any server changes are important to their account.
- Completing Monthly Backups of the website and saving it to the local server.
- Troubleshoot to diagnose and resolve issues with equipment such as printer, computers, laptops, mouse and servers.
- Ensure privacy and security of network and computer systems.
- Provide guidance and orientation to staff on how to operate new software in case it is installed and computer equipment.
- Installing and configuring appropriate software and functions according to specifications.
- Monitoring operations of organizational emails and accounts.
- Cleaning the email folders.
- Any other task you may be asked to perform related to ICT from time to time.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information System from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of one- two years progressive experience working in ICT Field is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of system security and data backup/recovery.
- Should have excellent computer skills, Network skills and the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose PC, LAN, Printer and IT Hardware problems.
- Proficiency in computer (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint etc.)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skill and excellent communication and written skills.
- Demonstrate professionalism, maturity and sound Judgement
