Role in Brief

Volition Cap seeks a Front-End Web Developer who combines the art of design with the discipline of programming. Responsibilities will include translation of UI/UX design wireframes to code. The candidate will work with a UI/UX designer to bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how applications look and work.

Roles and Responsibilities

Develop new user-facing features
Build reusable code and libraries for future use
Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
Ensure all user inputs are validated before submitting to the back-end developer

Skills Set and Values

4 years plus of proven work experience as a Frontend Engineer using React Js.
Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3.
Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS.
Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks.
Knowledge of Vue Js is a plus.
Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX.
Basic knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image. Familiarity with tools such as Gimp or Photoshop is a plus.
Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as git.
Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that applications adhere to them.
Good understanding of testing libraries such as Mocha etc.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, adhere to deadlines, and iterate quickly in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment.
