Main purpose of the job
- Provide IT Technical Support to users in terms of desktop support and helpdesk support.
- Assist with maintenance and upgrading works.
- Assist the system administrator to ensure proper equipment documentation as well as a physical inventory of assets.
- Handle IT access control.
- Assist in IT department-related administrative duties.
- Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.
- Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks.
- Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests.
- Providing technical support across the company (this may be in person or over the phone).
- Setting up accounts for new users.
- Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer science, Cyber security, or any information technology-related course.
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience in IT support.
- Ability to be creative and take an ‘outside the box’ approach.
- Ability to show and take initiative with proactive attitude.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Strong ethics with an ability to manage confidential information.
- Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating professionalism in all dealings.
- Excellent written and oral skills.
- Must have the ability to work as part of a team.
