JOB DESCRIPTION DETAILS:
Title: Wholesale Merchandiser.
Reports to: Area Wholesale Manager (AWM)
Area: To be Assigned by AWM
JOB PURPOSE:
The holder of the role will be responsible for upholding wholesale execution standards. He/She will be tasked with implementing PICOS at wholesale point with the overall objective of achieving product availability, visibility and POS activation in addition to product range management at wholesale level.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• 100% responsible for visibility of KI range of products at assigned wholesale outlets. Products must be visible to retailers and other customers visiting the wholesale outlet.
• Execution of the KI picture of success in wholesale and placement of POS materials at assigned wholesale outlets within route.
• Ensure assigned wholesale outlets are well stocked with full range of KI confectionery products with 100% availability of KI focus brands.
• Assist in order generation of products that are running of stock at the wholesale outlet. Forward orders generated of low stock position at assigned wholesale outlet to the Distributor Manager to follow up on delivery of products by the distributor team.
• Coordinate with the Distributor Manager to manage stocks availability in whole stock points
• Stock rotation maintaining FIFO at assigned wholesale outlet. Ensure any slow-moving products are pushed out. Report to distributor manager if further marketing initiatives are required to push out stocks from wholesale.
• Monitor/analyze sales and market trends while giving regular and accurate intelligence on competitor activities.
• Reduction of returns and damages to KIL through implementation of stock handling measures.
• Implementation of sales and marketing initiatives to drive sales in wholesale.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS, COMPETENCIES & SKILLS
● A diploma in any marketing related course. A bachelor’s degree will be an added advantage.
● A team player.
● Excellent communicator with ability to clearly convey information both in writing and orally.
● Experience in PICOS execution, to drive execution standards at wholesale level.
● Excellent outlet merchandising execution skills.
● Focused with ability to identify market trends and share recommendations on the same.
● A go-getter / self-starter, results-oriented individual.
● A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is required.
● Strong problem-solving ability.
