  • Evaluates and processes admissions applications in accordance with Institute’s policies, goals and rules on admissibility of students;

Senior Principal Lecturer – (4) Posts

Duties and responsibilities at this level entail:

  • Management of a multi-disciplinary team of Lecturers;
  • Management of Performance Evaluation against set targets;
  • Formulation and provision of policy guidelines on planning, development and management of departmental/Campus academic programmes;
  • Preparation of curricula/syllabuses, rules and regulations governing the implementation of departmental/Campus academic programmes;

Manager, Internal Audit & Risk Assurance

Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:

  • Continuously reviewing and assessing operational, financial management systems, policies, procedures, and guidelines and recommend improvements;
  • Undertaking financial audits to assess compliance with set standards and specifications; 
  • Gathering, collating and analyzing financial data and reports to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of funds utilization;
  • Conducting post audit reviews;
  • Carrying out risk assessment and evaluation as part of the audit process; preparing and submitting periodic audit reports to the Director;
  • Coordinating Internal Auditors works;

Manager, Finance and Accounts

Manager, Human Resource Management and Administration

  2. Develop and constantly review the Institute terms and conditions of service to ensure that they provide competitive employment practice and motivate staff;

Principal Supply Chain Management Officer

Job Description
The Principal Supply Chain Management Officer, Scale KW4 reports to the Director. 

Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:

  • Providing input into the annual procurement and disposal plans;
  • Implementing the annual procurement and disposal plans;
  • Coordinating procurement and disposal activities;
  • Preparing contract documents for goods, works and services; 
  • Liaising with the user department to ensure effective implementation of contracts for goods, works and services;

Principal Accountant – (1 Post)

  3. Interpreting regulations of the Institute pertaining to financial control and management;

  5. Coordinating preparation of budgets based on work plans;

Senior Accountant

Job Description

  • The Senior Finance Officer/Accountant, KW5 reports to the Principal Accountant, KW4.
  • Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:
  • Verification of vouchers and committal documents in accordance with laid down rules and regulations;
  • Data capture, maintenance of primary records such as cashbooks, ledgers, vote books, registers and preparation of simple management reports e.g. imprest and expenditure returns etc;
  • Timely and accurate preparation of quality management reports;
  • Safe custody of KEWI records and assets under him/her; analysis of the below the line accounts. receiving duly processed payments and receipt vouchers;
  • Writing cheques and posting payments and receipting vouchers in the cash books; balancing and reconciling cash books on daily basis;
  • Arranging for withdrawal of cash for office use and ensuring safety of the same at all times; extracting and providing cash liquidity analysis;
  • Ensuring security of cheques and cheque books;
  • Paying personal and merchant claims guided by cash balances in the cash books and treasury regulations;
  • Receipting of all money due and payable to the Institute.

Principal Legal Officer

  1. Providing legal advice to the taken by the Board;
  2. Drawing up contracts, agreements and other legal documents; 
  3. Undertaking research on different information to ensure that the Board is acting in accordance with all applicable laws; 
  4. Preparing Quarterly Legal Reports; 
  5. Preparing Board Resolutions, Action Points, Board Reports and Board Minutes;
  6. Identifying legal and compliance risks and issues relative to the Board’s intended actions; 
  7. Managing the risk exposure of the Board by ensuring compliance with all relevant statutory and regulatory requirements;
  8. Liaising with external lawyers on all cases filed against the Board to ensure instructions, witnesses and statements are procured on time; 
  9. Working with external lawyers to initiate lawsuits or to formulate a defense, to gather evidence in legal proceedings involving the Board and rendering general 55 advice relating to any legal proceedings involving the Board;

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Strategy, Marketing, Business Administration or any other related field from a recognized institution;
  • Master’s Degree in Economics, Strategy, Marketing, Business Administration and any other related field from a recognized institution;
