Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Contribute to research work within the assigned Line of Business;
- Conduct data cleaning, validation & management for various projects;
- Conduct actuarial valuations, reserving and product development and pricing;
- Preparation of recommendations based on analysis and modeling results;
- Assist in project management for ongoing client assignments;
- Assist in client communication, engagement and management;
- Contribute to large parts of client reports, presentations and and thought leadership pieces;
- Guide assistants on the the job;
- Provide support in business development activities;
- Participate in cross-departmental team activities to support organizational needs as may be required.
Knowledge, experience and qualifications required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science;
- Relevant experience in a similar role;
- Good progress with professional actuarial exams- at least 3 actuarial exams passed;
- Good knowledge of regional financial regulatory requirements;
- Strong communication skills (oral and written skills);
- Displays high motivation, team-orientation, adaptability, initiative, self drive and ownership of work;
- Advanced IT, data management and modeling skills; proficiency in R and/or Python would be an advantage;
