JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking to hire an experienced Fullstack Web Developer to join our web development team. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining engaging web applications. The role will also serve as the technical liaison between Growthpad and its clients/vendors.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (Or non if you are self-taught) 4+ years of hands-on experience in full-stack web development

A strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and Javascript Extensive knowledge of javascript frameworks.

Extensive knowledge of database technologies such as PostgreSQL and MySQL.

Proficiency in server-side scripting with PHP. Knowledge of Ruby and Python will be an added advantage. Advanced level use of JavaScript including, closures, debugging, scoping, AJAX, objects, prototypes Experience in developing mockups with tools such as Figma, Balsamq Mockups, etc

Advanced ability to translate mockups into beautiful web applications with HTML and CSS3 or content management systems such as WordPress, Omni CMS

Experience in Version control systems and development of deployment workflows and processes. Flexible and able to adapt

Experience with Omni CMS, WordPress, or similar Content Management Systems Experience integrating front-end code with server-side technologies

Advanced understanding of rendering capabilities of CSS, HTML, and JavaScript in different web browsers (cross-browser compatibility) Advanced understanding of JavaScript templating (e.g., [website], Mustache)

Advanced knowledge of accessibility best practices (e.g., WAI-ARIA) Understanding of RESTful APIs

Strong object-oriented design skills

Basic project/product management skills. Deep understanding of SEO

RESPONSIBILITIES

Working with clients to determine user needs by analyzing technical requirements. Using CASE tools to design web application mockups

Development of mockups into web applications

Maintaining existing and newly developed web applications.

Using scripting or authoring languages, management tools, content creation tools, applications, and digital media to update web content

Leading a small team of web developers to perform website design, development, and updates. Developing or validating test routines and schedules to ensure that test cases mimic external interfaces and address all browser and device types.

Set up backup and recovery processes for web applications

Identifying problems uncovered by customer feedback, testing, and correcting or referring problems to appropriate personnel for correction.

Evaluating code to ensure it meets industry standards, is valid, is properly structured, and is compatible with browsers, devices, or operating systems upgrades.
