About the organization:
The Council of Legal Education herein referred as ‘Council’ is established by the Legal Education Act, No. 27 of 2012 Laws of Kenya.
The core functions of the Council of Legal Education are to regulate legal education and training, license and supervise legal education providers; conduct the ATP Examination and to advice the Government on matters relating to legal education and training.
In order to deliver its mandate, Council wishes to competitively recruit full time high caliber officers to the following positions to be based in Nairobi, Kenya.

- BASIC SALARY: 24, 340 x 2, 225 – 26, 565 x 2,225 – 28, 790 x 2,225 – 31, 015 x 2,225 – 33, 240 x
2, 225 – 35, 467 per month - HOUSE ALLOWANCE: Kshs.6,750
- COMMUTER ALLOWANCE: Kshs. 4,000
Overall purpose of the job:
The job holder collects, and delivers mail, maintenance cleanliness and hygiene standards of offices, and prepares tea.
Key Responsibilities
The functions of the Senior Legal Officer shall be to-
a) Ensure general office cleanliness;
b) Collect and dispatch mails;
c) Prepare and serve tea and beverages;
d) Requisition of general office supplies
e) Operate basic office equipment;
f) Ensure safe custody of the office facilities; and
g) Performing any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor from time to time.
Job and Person Specifications
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have-
a) KCSE Mean Grade D+ or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
b) Basic computer skills
c) Minimum of two (2) years of relevant work experience: and
d) Fulfil the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
Key Competencies and Skills
The following additional core competencies and skills will be required for the position:
a) Organizational skills
b) Public Relations skills
c) Communication skills in both English and Kiswahili
d) Interpersonal skills
