AA Kenya is seeking to recruit highly talented, motivated and forward-thinking individual to fill the position of Legal Compliance Officer. The position is key in ensuring that AA Kenya operates within the law and abides by financial and legal regulations as well as maintaining its high standards of corporate governance.
Key Performance Areas
- Regulatory and operational compliance.
- Reporting on legal and Corporate Governance matters.
- Engagement with investors, stakeholders, and other third parties.
- Legal Counsel to the Board and Executive Committee.
- Litigation management.
Minimum job requirements:
For appointment to this position, one must possess:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law
- Post-graduate diploma in Law
- Member of LSK in good standing
- Certified Public Secretary and a member of ICS in good standing
- At least 3 years of legal experience, with at least 2 in a similar position.
- Experience in corporate, commercial, and employment law.
Skills and Competencies
- Integrity and discretion when handling confidential information.
- A sound grasp of corporate governance issues in a publicly listed company.
- A commercial frame of mind.
- Attention to detail and a well-organized approach to work
- Ability to prioritize work and deliver within timelines.
- Ability to work with numerical information, plus analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A diplomatic approach and the confidence to provide support to high-profile company, staff, and board members.
