RESPONSIBILITIES
We take our design process seriously, ensuring that we are thorough, consistent and aligned in our process. The overall responsibilities of an LED at NiaDelta span research and conceptualization, detailed design and solution development, designing for the future, and all things NiaDelta.
Research and Conceptualisation
- Assess partner and client needs and context by developing and implementing research and problem validation strategies utilizing an array of data collection and analytical tools.
- Research, evaluate and benchmark potential learning solutions and the impact of the solution.
- Consolidate insights into high-level proposals based on proven theory and approach that reflect the learning journey and how the learning solution meets the needs of the partner and objectives.
Detailed Design and Solution Development
- Support in carrying out feasibility analyses to evaluate the likelihood of success of the proposed design.
- Leverage and apply best learning practices, theories and tools to develop detailed learning materials the “NiaDelta way.”
- Design curricula or learning content including developing new experientials, and innovative learning activities.
- Create final ready-to-use learning materials including (but not limited to) session guides, slide decks, speaker notes, toolkits and training materials using NiaDelta’s templates (and your own design skills)
- Design learning assessment tools and M&E strategies such as assessments and rubrics, surveys, checks for understanding.
- Drive and uphold the integrity, quality and execution of the design specifically towards achieving the desired learning outcomes.
- Participate in or lead thorough design reviews and feedback sessions with collaborators and key stakeholders.
- Effectively communicate with stakeholders to disseminate important information and maintain alignment during the design process.
Design for the Future
- Conduct regular research to identify latest industry trends, best practices, and benchmark NiaDelta’s design solutions and offerings against global competitors.
- Contribute to the ongoing knowledge management and design repository by recommending and developing new learning materials, tools and resources.
- Participate in knowledge sharing and professional development initiatives within and outside of NiaDelta.
- Continuously seek opportunities for NiaDelta to engage with its target audience and build our brand through design.

- Participate in our rhythms, routines and rituals like daily check ins, sit-ins, Dev 1:1s and Weekly Review

QUALIFICATIONS
We’re looking for an entrepreneurial, values-driven, creative and conscientious team player with a passion for innovation, learning and human development.
Our ideal candidate’s qualifications include:
- 2+ years direct experience in designing and developing training materials and content;
- Demonstrated experience working in agile and dynamic environments;
- Demonstrated understanding of human-centered or iterative design approaches and its application;
- Demonstrated understanding of learning and design theories and pedagogy (Experiential Learning, Backward Design, Human-centered Design)
- Demonstrated ability to work with digital learning tools such as Canvas, Google Classroom, Slido, Kahoot, PearDeck etc.
- Demonstrated ability to work in multicultural environment and remote offices;
- Ability to work autonomously with tight deadlines;
- Proficient in learning methodologies and able to evaluate learning effectiveness using various design assessment strategies;
- An ability to take tasks from a high-level strategic idea to rapid execution with a large amount of autonomy and conscientiousness;
- Engaging and interactive communicator with a passion for leadership development.
