Job Brief
We are looking for a talented and creative Camera Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating and maintaining camera equipment, as well as an understanding of visual storytelling techniques. The Camera Operator will work on various projects, ranging from corporate videos to short films, and will collaborate with the production team to capture high-quality footage.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain camera equipment, including lenses, lighting, and audio recording equipment
- Collaborate with the production team to develop shot lists and storyboards
- Capture high-quality footage that meets the creative vision and technical requirements of each project
- Edit footage using industry-standard software to create polished and engaging videos
- Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and stored after each shoot
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members to ensure that all project requirements are met
- Stay up-to-date with new technology and equipment to continuously improve the quality of our videos
- Work efficiently to meet tight deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously
Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a Camera Operator, with a strong portfolio demonstrating technical proficiency and creative vision
- Excellent knowledge of camera equipment, including lenses, lighting, and audio recording
- Familiarity with video editing software, such as Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines
- Flexibility to work outside of regular business hours, including weekends and evenings
- Graduates are preferred but the right mix of relevant work experience and skills, personal qualities and confidence may compensate. A practical journalism or media course may help.
