Maxim Agri Limited is the fastest-growing agriculture company. Maxim’s primary objective is to provide
trusted animal feeds, fodder seeds, and customized nutrition solutions to help maximize the performance
of small and commercial farmers. We are seeking to recruit a dynamic professional to fill the following
position based in Naivasha Kenya.


PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR

The Production Supervisor will oversee operations and offer support in the areas of safety, quality,
productivity, cost, equipment and engagement, in a shift-based mode of operation that leads to
availability of high quality products, produced at optimum cost and in a safe environment by highly
motivated and engaged staffs.


Key Responsibility
 Monitor production output to ensure maximum productivity of high-quality products,
achievement of production targets, and adherence to the required hygiene standards.
 Administer all employee schedules; supervise all shift production and maintenance schedules.
 Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production
performance records and data.
 Train and develop production teams in the shift to ensure highly skilled and trained staff in line
with business needs.
 Perform routine technical checks on machines daily autonomous maintenance activities
inspection, lubrication, maintenance and cleaning in consultation with the Maintenance in charge.
 Upholding Good Manufacturing programmes / procedures, monitoring and auditing (including
workplace organization).
 Ensure finished goods conform to set/customer standards. Always observe and ensure that
quality specifications of finished products are adhered to and spot checking and reviewing of the
production process done on time.
 Ensure timely closure of all production jobs and documentation while ensuring data integrity.
 Monitors machine performance and operating parameters to ensure production quality and
volumes are achieved in line with the production plan.
 Reconciliation of material on weekly basis with store.
 Makes proactive suggestions about operation methods, processes and increasing performance.
 Ensure optimal machine utilization, adhering to the throughputs, and machine capacities as well
as efficiencies
 Conduct onboarding process for the new employees and ensure that they understand all the
processes
 Ensure production KPI’s are achieved within quality specifications.
 Carryout monthly/quarterly performance appraisals for the teams and providing reports to HR
within given timelines.
 Coordinate with maintenance team to make sure the upkeep of Plant and Machinery.
 Ensure corrective actions are implemented on all non – conforming products and customer
complaints and feedback given.
 Ensuring compliance with all financial norms to control collections and receivables.
 Participate in company’s quality products checks in liaison with Quality and Production teams.
 Promoting Safety & Health of all workers and equipment in the production area.
 Identify and report all quality and food safety issues during daily operations.
 Production planning in coordination with sales team.
 Any other assigned duties.


Key Qualification, Experience, Skills
a. A University degree in either BSc ( Food Science & Technology, Animal Production, Mechanical
Engineering( Plant Option) or other relevant field
b. At least 5 years in a busy production environment of a Feed manufacturing industry and working
as a supervisor.
c. Knowledge of relevant professional standard like FSMS/GMP/ISO/HACCP will be an added
advantage.
