Our client, an international firm, is looking to hire a Batch Plant Operator who will be based outside Kenya.
Key Responsibilities
- Operates concrete, asphalt, or sand and gravel plant to batch, crush, or segregate materials used in construction: Moves controls on panel board or control board to heat, dry, and mix ingredients, such as asphalt, sand, stone, and naphtha, to produce asphalt paving materials; to weigh and mix aggregate, cement, and water to produce concrete; or to control feeding, crushing, and sifting machinery in sand and gravel plant.
- Helps coordinate movement of materials and equipment to work locations and sets up work site.
- Job may require moderate to heavy lifting.
- Completes records, maintains tools and equipment, and performs various clean-up and housekeeping activities.
- Observes and follow all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal protective equipment.
- Performs other duties and activities as directed.
Required Academic Qualifications, Experience and Competencies
- Must have at least High School Diploma. A Technical or Vocational Course is required.
- Must have at least three (3) years experience in batching plant operations.
- Must be able to read, interpret blueprints and design and follow engineering drawings, specifications, and instructions.
- Must be able to safely use manual tools and power equipment.
- Must speak, read, and understand the English Language.
- Must pass overseas medical screening and be in good health.
- Must have a valid Professional Driver’s License with at least Restriction Code 2.
