HR Performance and Administration Officer in a Start-Up Real Estate Company.
About the Company
Our company is a startup real estate company that deals with buying and selling plots in Kenya.
Job Purpose
Reporting to the CEO; the Human Performance and Administrative Officer will be expected to recruit, train, support and maintain measures of organizational performance and also be able to demonstrate this through sales. In addition, he/she will be expected to assist the Sales & Marketing department in providing the foundational support and functional expertise to drive sales and meet overall set targets.
Duties & Responsibilities;
1. Must have a proven track record in a reputable real estate company for a minimum of 3 years
2. Must be able to develop and come up with a HR policy manual from scratch
3. Must be able to develop a Standard Operating Procedure to be followed and adhered to in administrating day to day roles and activities for each team member
4. Must be able to recruit, train and retain at all times the minimum number of staff required for each department.
5. Must be able to oversee the sales team day to day activities in booking of site visit, planning for logistics for visits and all client documentations are done timely and correctly.
6. Be able to manage performance by coming up with KPIs, setting target, monitoring performance, rewarding top performance and giving timely feedback in well-defined reports.
7. MUST have an In-depth understanding and interpretation of the Employment Act of Kenya, Labor Laws, and HR Policy and assist management and staff to appreciate and internalize.
8. MUST have the ability to work under constant real estate deadline pressure and manage multiple projects across different regions.
9. Any other tasks that may be assigned by the reporting authority.
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum Qualifications;
1. Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or any other relevant HR related course.
2. A minimum of 3 years’ experience in human resource management in a real estate company
3. Experience in payroll management is mandatory.
4. Proficiency with Digital Tools, report writing and power point presentations.
5. Project and People Management Skills.
6. Ability to Maintain Confidentiality at all times and develop a good Culture for the Organization.
7. Effective Communication Skills both oral and written among diverse audiences.
Professional Certification
1. Valid membership certificate from IHRM.
2. Certified Human Resource Professional Kenya CHRP (K) – added advantage.
