Web Applications Developer

Responsibilities:

1. Implement and maintain integrations into Surestep’s and Cloudpesa’s client systems and partners, including web portal implementation and integration.
2. Prepare technical proposal documentation for projects and assist in sales calls (demos).
3. Maintain customer relationships by providing 24/7 support.
4. Submit monthly innovation reports that aim to create new value for Surestep Group’s stakeholders.
5. Design, architect, develop, test, maintain and support Web Applications platforms.
6. Engage in all aspects of the software development cycle including coding, documentation, testing, deployment, user training, post-implementation support, maintenance, and issue resolution of the product offerings.
7. Evaluate and improve existing products and solutions by researching new and alternate technologies.
8. Continuously improve the effectiveness of the development team by advancing the development pipeline, tools, and software development practices.
9. Standardize software development (coding/programming).
10. Build and host web portals.
11. Design and develop APIs, including integrating with 3rd party API providers.

Qualifications / Requirements:

1. A degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
2. A minimum of 4 years’ experience developing web applications in a similar role in an IT company, with a focus on security. At least 3 years of experience developing web portals for SACCOs (internet banking) and Parastatals will be required.
3. 3+ years of experience with integrating with Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Microsoft Dynamics 365.
4. 3+ years of experience with Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS), with an emphasis on knowledge of Microsoft SQL server.
5. 3+ years of experience with C-Sharp.
6. Experienced UI/UX Developer.
7. Experience with Figma.
8. Experience in Project Management with familiarity in Atlassian team collaboration tools.
9. Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Dynamics 365 experience in both development and integration (Experience with CAL & AL).
10. A deep understanding of API development with various integration protocols.
11. A laptop that meets the following minimum specifications: Core i7 processor (10th generation), 16GB RAM, and 512GB SSD storage.
12. The ability to work onsite from 8 am to 5 pm (Monday to Friday), 9 am to 1 pm on Saturdays, and be available 24/7 for customer support.
13. Good reporting skills – shall be required to give weekly written reports.
14. Excellent written and verbal communication/presentation skills. You will attend demos frequently with the Business Development team.
15. Creative and innovative thinking.

Good to have:

1. Solid experience with Android and iOS mobile development, with specific knowledge in Flutter and React Native Programming languages.
2. Experience with software version control services such as Git.
3. Experience with integration with value-added services for Safaricom, Airtel, Telcom, and Equitel.
4. Experience as a back-end developer with knowledge in C-sharp.
5. Certification in SQL.
6. Microsoft certifications in Microsoft Dynamics 365 and/or Microsoft Dynamics NAV related tests.
7. Certification in project management.
8. Any other certifications e.g. in Accounting, Information Systems Audit, Cyber Security, etc.
