Requirements for Appointment

For this appointment an officer must have: –

  • served in the grade of Principal Administration Officer for a minimum period of three (3) years or in a comparable and relevant position in the Public Service or Private Sector;
  • Bachelors degree in any of the following disciplines: – Public Administration; Business Administration/Management, Community Development or any other Social Science from a recognized institution;
  • Masters degree in any of the following disciplines: Public Administration; Business Administration/Management, Community Development or any other Social Science from a recognized institution;
  • Certificate in Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution;
  • Diploma in advance Public Administration or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
  • Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution; and
  • Demonstrated managerial, Administrative & Professional Competence in work performance and results Group Certificates (BES & GC) from the Kenya National Examinations Council in the following subjects: –

  • Facilitating fleet management;
  • Planning office accommodation layout;
  • Developing and updating of office equipment and furniture inventory;
  • Facilitating meetings, conferences and other special events;

  • Processing administrative documents;

Assistant Engineer II (Electrical) – Deputy Governor Office – 2 Positions

Duties and responsibilities

  • Design of electrical/electronic engineering services in government buildings and construction works;
  • Repair and maintenance of electrical/electronic installation in airport, waterworks, offices, workshops, conferences complexes and other government facilities

Minimum requirement and competencies

For appointment to this grade, an officer must:

  • Have a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent and relevant qualification from a recognize institution;
  • Be registered by Engineers Registration Board of Kenya as a Graduate Engineer.

Assistant Geologist (Water)- Deputy Governor Office

Duties and Responsibilities

Specifically, the officer will be involved in hydrogeological, geophysical, geotechnical, borehole drilling, and groundwater development programmes under close supervision of an experienced officer. In addition, the officer will be required to carry out detailed hydrogeological, geophysical, hydrogeochemical, geotechnical and borehole drilling projects.

Requirements for Appointment

For appointment to this grade candidates must-;

  • be in possession of a Bachelor of Science degree in any of the following disciplines: Geology, Engineering Geology, GeoPhysics, Geochemistry, or its equivalent from a recognized institute.

Hospitality Officer II- Deputy Governor Office

Duties and Responsibilities

  • verification of information relating to recruitment, appointment, transfers, Human Resource Management records and complement control;
  • processing cases for the Ministerial Human Resource Management Advisory Committee and assisting in the implementation of the decisions thereof; and
  • supervising and guiding junior staff in the Section.

Requirement for Appointment

  • served as a Human Resource Management Officer II or in a comparable and relevant position for a minimum period of three (3) year and shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
