Digital Underwriting Interns (2 Positions)
Job Requirement
- Bachelor’s degree (Actuarial Science or Commerce).
- Must be a third or Fourth year student awaiting graduation.
- Knowledge of insurance regulatory requirements.
- Knowledge of insurance products.
Key Responsibilities
- SLA management with the support functions (finance, IT, operations).
- Data collection and analysis.
- Review proposal form and release policy documents/credit notes to clients.
- Keep detailed and accurate records of policies underwritten and decisions made
Knowledge, experience and qualifications required
To be eligible for this internship Program, you must be:
- A citizen of Kenya.
- A student pursuing an undergraduate degree in a related field in an accredited university, who will continue his/her graduate studies or graduate right after the period of the internship.
- Candidates afforded internship in the past are not eligible to apply.
Conditions of Internship
- Britam does not provide medical insurance cover for Interns.
- Those selected for internship will be required to submit proof of medical insurance while at Britam.
- Since the hiring for the Internship Program is done locally, Britam does not pay transportation costs whatsoever.
- This internship Program is addressed to students who are pursuing their degree programs.
Documentation that will be required should you be selected for internship are:
- Letter from learning institution requesting for internship and confirming that this is part of the course requirement.
- Original and copy of KCSE/GCSE Certificate.
- Valid Insurance cover.
- An updated CV.
- Copy of National ID.
Marketing Intern
Job Requirement
- Bachelor’s degree (Marketing).
- Must be a third or Fourth year student awaiting graduation.
- Knowledge of insurance regulatory requirements.
- Knowledge of insurance products.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in identification for EMC research needs, the research itself and implementation.
- Monitoring of competitor activity on digital, print, electronic platforms and advice business.
- Taking part in development and implementation of marketing plans by business units.
- Taking part in business marketing activities.
