Why send a cover letter if you’ve included all the important information about your training and experience on your CV and it already has information about your work history?

Your cover letter can actually accomplish a lot more than you might think.

It can :

– A justification for sending your resume;

– Explain your reasons for changing careers (if at all you have switched careers);

– Clearly state why you are drawn to this particular position;

– Explain in detail why you want to work for this company;

– Convince the reader to review your resume;

– Accentuate your suitability for the position;

– Outline the noteworthy features of your background.

– Show off your professionalism and enthusiasm;

– Specify any information the recruiter specifically requests.

When you’re looking for work, don’t pass up an opportunity to make a good impression and argue your case, especially one as good as the one a cover letter provides. Make the most of your cover letter because it is an important part of your application, almost as important as the CV itself, whether you are applying for a job that has been advertised or sending your CV speculatively to companies that you think could benefit from your skills.
