Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Developing and co-ordinating the preparation of annual procurement and disposal plans and their implementation;
  • Coordinating procurement and disposal activities in the bank;
  • Preparing contract documents for goods, works and services;
  • Custodian of contract documents;
  • Liaising with the user department to ensure effective implementation of contracts for goods, works and services;
  • Providing secretariat to committees’ incidental to procurement of goods and services, and disposal of assets;
  • Coordinating disposal of assets activities;
  • Providing professional advice on procurement of goods, works and services and disposal of assets;
  • Preparing statutory reports to PPRA
  • Reviewing procurement needs of the bank;
  • Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience for Appointment

  1. Have eight (8) years relevant work experience in public or private sector, three (3) of which must have been at a supervisory level;
  2. Have Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Procurement and Supplies Management, or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
  3. Master’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution will be an added advantage;
  4. Be Member of professional body either KISM or CIPS in good standing;
  5. Show merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results;
  6. Proficiency in computer applications
  7. Have a management course or programmes from a recognized institution;
  8. Have Demonstrated results in work performance;
  9. Meets the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
